Learn about one of history’s most iconic drinkers, Winston Churchill, from subject experts Gin Sander and Roxanne Langer (authors of Churchill: A Drinking Life: Champagne, Cognac, and Cocktails) as they entertain with stories taken straight from Churchill’s liquor cabinet.
Brian Mazurek of The Bitter Ginger will then lead a hands-on cocktail class featuring Churchill’s drinks of choice. We’ll open the class with champagne, followed by the classic cognac-based Sidecar, and finally, “The Churchill,” his 80th birthday drink - whiskey, red vermouth, triple sec, and lime served over a smoked ice sphere. All participants will take home a signed copy of the book to continue enjoying Churchill's cocktails.
All ingredients and barware will be provided. Each participant will enjoy their own version of the highlighted cocktails, in addition to a welcome beverage and snacks.

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by Social Hour Carmel, in which case each ticket buyer will receive a full refund.
